DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
The Business Partner is accountable for planning, coordinating and delivering all HR activities within their area of responsibility. This will include the development of or input to local strategies as required.
This position will be specifically aligned to support our SCM, Finance and other overhead functions. In addition, this role with be responsible for new country entry and on-going support for countries outside US and Mexico
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- Provides Human Resource business partnering and expertise in areas of Organisational planning, OD Interventions, Talent and L&D Planning to the Corporate organisation
- Advising, challenging and influencing management to make informed decisions which drive business performance.
- Working closely with management in relation to management of
- Supporting management and employees on issues including discipline, grievance, absence management, occupational health and international assignments in line with Company policy and employment legislation.
- Working closely with management on coordination and delivery of HR initiatives including annual salary and bonus reviews, performance appraisals, resource planning, talent management and succession planning on a global basis.
- Communication to the HR Director on HR and other initiatives, e.g. PMRs, Compliance, Training
- Working closely with international HR teams on remote employees, ensuring management of employees in line with local employment legalisation
- Works closely with HR Advisors, offering guidance, support and development as required.
- Ensures that requirements of all country relevant employment legislation are recognised, implemented and met within area of responsibility.
- Ensures legal compliance to employment legislation where it impacts on HR processes and systems.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Breadth of experience across a wide range of HR disciplines, covering the full range of the employee lifecycle
- Pro-active in approach and highly visible to key business stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen, demonstrating an ability to identify and understand the commercial drivers and challenges of the business
- Proven ability to translate strategic business objectives into relevant people plans that support the achievement of commercial KPI’s
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent networking skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- An engaging people manager with the ability to delegate effectively whilst providing the appropriate levels of coaching and support
- A role model of effective leadership behaviours
KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Degree level qualification, desired but not essential
- Experience in new country entry highly preferred and/or experience with HR related matters in Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam and Colombia
- Relevant previous HR experience at a senior level
