About the Role – You Will:
- Provide HR partner support to assigned client groups, by partnering with business leaders to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly enable business objectives.
- Act as an organizational and lean champion who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexities and partners with clients to maximize team performance and embed a contemporary organizational culture.
- Provide strong employee relations guidance and coaching to front-line production leaders as well as being available to support production and manufacturing workforce on all HR-related matters.
- Partner with the organizations and broader business leadership team to understand industry and market dynamics, and deliver on HR support aligned with business priorities.
- Be able to make connections across all levels of the organization, including hourly production through senior executives of the Proterra leadership team.
- Participate in critical HR operating rhythms such a talent review, strategic workforce planning, succession planning, salary planning, and performance management.
- Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent in partnership with the rest of HR team and the talent acquisition team.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive team.

- This position will be part of the corporate division that supports Proterra’s Manufacturing and Engineering operations.
- You will report to the HR Director, Proterra Business Line and collaborate with other Human Resource team members located at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and manufacturing facilities in Los Angeles, CA and Greenville, SC.

Your Experience Includes
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource positions including client and specialist experience.
- Manufacturing HR experience, dealing with hourly workforce is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding and changing environment, team-oriented culture, see through complexity and ambiguity, energize a team/client and strategically promote an inclusive and diverse workforce.
- Has ability to attract and retain talent as well as developing competencies within function.
- Strong employee relations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Established project management skills and capable of handling multiple priorities by documenting, planning and executing to completion.
- Strong internal and external customer focus with genuine desire to assist others.
- Excellent collaboration, influencing, and change agent skills.
- Passion for innovative HR solutions, process improvement, and lean mindset.
- Influences policy and ensure delivery within own function, linking with other functions across the organization.
- Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements.
- Master's degree in human resources, labor relations, or business administration from an accredited college or university.
- PHR/SPHR certification.
