About this Position:


The Human Resources Department is part of the Corporate Services Division of HTA. The Human Resources (HR) Department provides strategic and tactical support and services to ensure fluent and efficient office and organizational operations to all HTA offices and subsidiaries in the areas of HR.


The Human Resources Coordinator is an HR professional that will work collaboratively with leaders and associates at all levels to enhance associate engagement while ensuring compliance with company policies, guidelines, and government legislation. The Human Resources Coordinator supports associate relations, benefits administration, talent acquisition, administration, and payroll, and is responsible for supporting the implementation and success of HR policies and initiatives.


Responsibilities include:


Associate Relations/Performance Management:

  • Support HR Manager on associate issues, investigations, and documentation; define appropriate steps to adhere to company policy and ensure the fair and equitable administration of company practices with compliance of all Federal, State, and local labor laws; support performance management program and tracking; support management team with recommended corrective action.
  • Perform duties involving associate communications; responding to HR policy questions; identifying potential issues and grievances, etc.
  • Provides full range of consultative services. Including, but not limited to: employee relations, relationship management, performance management, resource planning and accommodation.
  • Provides associate relations services to associates by facilitating open communication, resolving associate issues, and coaching.
  • Effectively builds relationships and acts as an HR advisor to all associates and management
  • Provides HR generalist support to supervisors and managers including coaching and guidance on associate relations issues, policy interpretation, performance management, problem-solving, FMLA, ADA, Worker Compensation, and leave of absence administration.

Payroll Administration

  • Maintain payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data as required.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries.
  • Work closely with AHM to coordinate changes in HRIS, new hire paperwork entry, termination paperwork coordination, process garnishments, other changes.
  • Communicate special payroll deadlines and communications as required.

Benefits Administration:

  • Respond to inquiries regarding benefits, coordinate coverage with AHM, tracks short-term disability and FMLA, administer workers' compensation issues, and prepare OSHA logs. Serve as a resource for leave programs and provide supporting documentation to AHM.

Talent Acquisition: Full-Time Associate, Contingent & Expatriate:

  • Support resume screening and interview process for contingent labor staff.
  • Manage contractor paperwork and liaison with agencies and make HRIS entry for contingents. Keep a record of contractor data and update reporting as required.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding with departments.
  • Conduct new hire orientation for day one onboarding activities.

Fleet Administration

  • Support the lease, pool cars, and manager car programs including, maintenance, contracts, policies, recordkeeping, compliance, claims, and evaluation for disposal or transfer of assets.
  • Liaison with LeasePlan, CVA, and Dealership Relations.
  • Work with CVA to coordinate delivery and lease paperwork for associates, assist in the claims process and arrange for auction pick up.
  • Administer policies, inventory recordkeeping, and maintenance.

Administration Support

  • Responsible for corporate mail and couriers including receiving inbound mail and ensuring appropriate distribution based on urgency and sensitivity.
  • Serve as vendor/supplier point of contact, coordination of services, and inventory management. Manage central purchasing of office supplies for the Ohio office. Oversee issue resolution for matters involving facilities, uniforms, security, travel, catering, promotional items, etc.
  • Perform analysis of invoices to adhere to the administrative budget.
  • Maintain employee HR files according to company and compliance guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned, which may include cross-functional responsibilities, department rotations, and/or temporary assignments and transfers.

Required Work Experience:


  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in a generalist role in a fast-paced environment with multi-site locations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices of effective HR leadership, including knowledge of state and federal employment (i.e., EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA) and compensation laws.
  • Proven results-oriented project experience

Required Education:


  • High school education required
  • College education preferred
