About the Court System
The New York State Unified Court System, the judicial branch of the state government, is one of the largest and busiest court systems in the world. Its workforce of 16,000 dedicated judges and non-judicial employees serve the public by providing just and timely resolution of all matters before the courts.
The Division of Human Resources provides support services and consultation to judges, court administrators, court personnel, and the public. The Division is seeking an analyst in the Court Officer Staffing Unit. The analyst will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with physical ability testing, psychological, and pre-appointment medical scheduling for court officer applicants.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinating onsite physical ability testing for Court Officer candidates including collecting documents, scoring tests, and performing vision tests.
· Responding to questions about the screening process.
· Tracking candidates through the screening process.
· Managing HRIS (Peoplesoft) entries for Court Officer appointments.
· Administering written psychological tests including instructions and test monitoring.
· Coordinating confirmation email and calls for psychological interviews.
· Creating test packets.
· Scheduling candidates and scanning documents into database.
· Creating spreadsheets, inputting data into Excel, and running reports.
· Coordinating pre-appointment medicals to review initial results.
· Attending and assisting with off-site screenings.
·Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license as travel will be required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of relevant experience; or Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Salary:
Base: $61,249 Annually
Location Pay: $4,635
Location: New York City – Downtown Manhattan
