Fraud Investigations Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Conducting investigations into financial crime (AML, sanctions violations, fraud, etc.) and summarizing findings;
  • Reviewing transactions and open-source materials to assess risks and violations of regulations;
  • Ensuring accurate and comprehensive recordkeeping and retention of logs and supporting documentation;
  • Document and report the review/investigation findings and helps to prepare case files with the required supporting documentation as well summarizes, in writing, clear and concise findings of the investigation;
  • Supporting team members with continuous learning and knowledge-sharing on evolving financial crime typologies and regulatory updates;
  • Communicate with other team members, leadership team about operational and daily work questions, when needed;
  • Achieving operational and performance targets within established guidelines and timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred);
  • At least 6 months of experience in financial crime investigations, sanctions screening, or related AML compliance roles;
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, including experience with public record research and database tools;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and an ability to quickly learn new software tools;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
