This role can be remote or based in one of our Rehmann offices. However, there will be some required time at our client location(s) to support our projects and their organizations.
How You’ll Make an Impact:

Developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel in conjunction with HR Director and resources

Supporting annual compensation program; modifying job descriptions; supporting annual salary surveys; analyzing compensation; monitoring the performance evaluation program

Updating and maintaining the personnel handbook and all employment policies and procedures as needed

Supporting benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness and employee engagement

Filing EEO-1 annually; maintaining other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
-
Participating in employee relations matters and exit interviews

Establishing and maintaining department records and reports
-
Participating in administrative staff and other meetings as needed; representing HR in discussions and projects

Recommending new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed

Supporting hiring process for all exempt, non-exempt, temporary and student positions, including internal and external posting of positions, communication with candidates, related paperwork, working with reference checks, background checks, credential verification

Participating in the design and maintenance of the orientation process and system, and training and competency requirements.

Maintaining communication with payroll administration to ensure that all adjustments and status changes are recorded and properly; processing payroll as needed

Directing onboarding and offboarding processes and communicating with departments involved and affected by employee status changes

Supporting HRIS system and alignment with organizational processes, including implementation, updates, troubleshooting, communications and resolution
Your Desired Skills and Experiences:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
-
3+ years of experience in public sector Human Resources Generalist role
-
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with HRIS platforms and processing payroll
-
Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
-
Ability to analyze problems, exercise judgment, strategic thinking, and make sound objective decisions

Capability to lead others and develop strong relationships and engagement
-
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
-
Knowledge and ability to read and understand policies, laws, regulation, and other technical issues
