What you'll do:

Your role as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You'll undertake a wide range of people operations tasks, like organizing trainings and team events, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date, secure, and reliable for reporting. You'll also act as the first point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics, having the confidence and initiative to ask questions or research further as needed.

  • Employee Engagement: Together with the Operations team, help design and implement initiatives and activities to enhance the employee experience, engagement, morale, efficiency, and overall well-being for our local San Francisco, and remote team members. Encourage a positive work environment that celebrates diversity, fosters teamwork and productivity, and supports a healthy work-life balance.
  • Benefits Administration: support benefits administration, leave management, enrollment periods, and coordinate with benefit vendors and partners.
  • Data and Reporting: Maintain accurate data and up-to-date information within the company's HR platforms: HRIS, timekeeping, performance, Intranet, and payroll tools. Gather, analyze and report on key HR metrics. Complete monthly regulatory and compliance data reporting using Excel.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to attract and retain top talent. Facilitate seamless onboarding experiences to ensure new employees feel welcomed, informed, and ready to make an impact from day one. Maintain and secure employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
  • Performance Management: Organize and provide support of performance management processes, including goal-setting, continuous feedback, and internal communications.
  • Learning and Development: Drive a culture of continuous learning and personal growth by identifying training needs, coordinating workshops, and promoting self-driven development opportunities. Partner with managers to build relevant and robust professional development opportunities for employees.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Partner with head of people to champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a workplace that embraces and values differences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop opportunities to promote belonging, trust, and cultural awareness.
  • Compliance and Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies. Provide guidance to employees and managers on internal HR policies, procedures, and global best practices. Stay up to date on local, state, and federal compliance topics. Proactively address employee concerns, and take appropriate action to escalate issues.

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' experience in a day-to-day HR Generalist or similar function, preferably in a tech or fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, coupled with the capacity to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build & maintain relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Tech-savvy and creative, with a passion for learning, and dedication to high quality and precision.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, Timekeeping, and other HR software applications.
  • Demonstrated competency in Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English language, and ability to commute to the office in San Francisco weekly.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work for our company in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • HR Certification is a plus.

California Non-exempt, Hourly Base Pay Range: $35.00 USD - $50.00 USD per hour.

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base pay, employees may participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
