Job Description Summary

As a member of the New Services, Fossil HR team, you will be the primary point of contact for client leaders, providing expertise and guidance in the areas of culture and change management, strategic coaching, talent assessment and development, succession planning, performance management, and organizational design.

This role will require you to execute HR strategy in support of the client's business objectives as well as HRM support for a defined group. This role is a connected partner for the Steam New Services Fossil Americas (Region and Operations) business leadership team. The New Services Fossil Americas will employ ~400 employees.

Job Description

Success in this role looks like:

  • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by demonstrating strong partnership with the client group to achieve business deliverables and HR priorities.
  • Lead the team which will support the employees in the geographical responsibility.
  • Achieve healthy union and employee relations in 2 services shops.
  • Represent the Regional scope for the overall Fossil presence in Americas and perform as HR BP for the Region Americas leader.
  • Support to set up the new Fossil organization in Americas and new leaders for success.
  • You will be an indispensable New Services HR team member, with excellent Employee Relations, organizational development background, coaching, strong communication and influencing skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute organizational strategies that align structure, culture and talent with business goals
  • Partner with client managers to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable business objectives
  • Partner with client managers to develop and embed a contemporary organizational culture and positive and contemporary work environment leveraging change acceleration techniques to assist in driving broad change
  • Lead UR/UA as well as manage the CBA reviews in the respective shops
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase employee satisfaction, morale, and ultimately, retention by demonstrating their value and impact
  • Acting as an organizational and simplification champion who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with clients to maximize team performance
  • Provide timely, effective, and direct coaching to client group managers, assisting in the development of strong, contemporary leadership skills
  • Provide strategic coaching to business leaders and key talent related to succession planning, career path development, and performance management
  • Lead leadership assessment in the organization, identifying key employee strengths and development needs to recognize, select, retain, and develop key talent
  • Lead succession planning and talent development strategies for the organization, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines mentoring, training, etc.
  • Partner with HR team to ensure high quality implementation of critical HR operating rhythms
  • Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage, and retain strong and diverse talent
  • Supervise industrial relations strategy and execution especially in manufacturing environment
  • Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues
  • Establish an operating rhythm to drive positive employee and labor environment and quickly identify and mitigate risks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • +5 Years of Experience in Human Resources
  • +1 year of experience on UR & UA

DESIRED:

  • Experience working in global, matrixed organization
  • Client support experience for organizations
  • Good understanding of labor/industrial relation aspects
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high growth, fast paces environment
  • Solutions-oriented approach to problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Strong coaching and leadership assessment experience with confidence and care to provide tough coaching in a way that inspires development
  • Developed (oral and written) communication and diplomacy skill set with the ability to influence others by presenting sound and logical arguments tailored to the audience
  • Lean experience and continues improvement mindset
  • Self-motivated and assertive: ability to navigate complex or ambiguous environments, get answers, and autonomously drive solutions
  • Experience building meaningful, trusting relationships and positive work environments
