HRIT Analyst-CNP04024
CenterPoint Energy is looking for an HRIT Analyst to join our CNP HRIT Team, located in either Houston, TX or Evansville, IN.
You will have the ability to: administer and optimize the performance of HR technologies. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact, within HR, to assist with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Provide technical support for system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects. Using various tools, creates quality reports to meet customer requests.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Maintain data integrity and privacy for HR master data in system of record (SAP).
- Serve as liaison between HR and IT staff on projects for HR or requiring HR support.
- Coordinate HRIT projects, including gathering requirements and writing specifications, process flows and other documentation, developing training materials, and collaborating with stakeholders such as business users, Information Technology (IT) and/or HR.
- Facilitates assessment of business needs, evaluates processes and defines business requirements to recommend and implement business solutions for new and existing HR processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manages the testing and implementation of new/enhanced solutions and workflow processes to increase operating efficiency and improve productivity in the most effective manner.
- Optimize and provide technical support for multiple modules of cloud based HCM including: Performance and Goal Management, Workforce Compensation, Talent Review and Succession Planning
- Support cloud-based Workforce Analytics product; modify pre-built dashboards and create new dashboards. Assist clients in discovery and problem-solving activities via insights provided through data analytics.
- Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of system upgrades and patches.
- Performs exploratory research and analysis to identify value-added technology enhancements leading to improved end-user experience.
- Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
Your background includes:
- BS/BA Degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resource Management, or other related field.
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience providing technical support for the implementation, development and maintenance of human resource related applications by gathering requirements & specifications, conducting analysis, documenting, training and coordinating with various internal and external customers.
- Strong MS Office skills required.
- Strong organizational, motivational, communication and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to address multiple activities simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet overlapping deadlines.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
A bonus to have:
- Experience supporting Human Capital Management (HCM) applications and creating/working with dashboards and analytics is preferred.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MS Access as well as SAP Master Data preferred.
- Experience using PowerBI preferred.
