Corporate Development Analyst Intern (Summer 2025)

The mission of HubSpot’s Corporate Development team is to expand and enhance our organization’s growth via strategic acquisitions and investments. As a Summer Analyst in Corporate Development, you will be an integral member of the team and support acquisition and investment evaluation, diligence, execution, and post-deal integration. This person will also work closely with HubSpot Ventures to evaluate new investments. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent financial modeling skills, and an understanding of the technology and software industry landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an impactful team at a high-growth company and to pave the way for our inorganic growth strategies long-term.

This role requires full-time (40 hours/week) availability from June-August, either Remote (US), Flex, Or in-office (Cambridge, MA)

  • In this role you’ll get to:
    Help develop a pipeline of Corporate Development opportunities and drive the execution and integration of mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and strategic partnerships
  • Work collaboratively across cross-functional projects and deal teams to conduct diligence, review transaction documents, and own financial modeling
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify potential targets and growth opportunities, industry trends, and emerging technologies
  • Partner with senior team members to cultivate cross-functional relationships with executives and assist in the implementation of high-priority strategic initiatives that expand the product capabilities and accelerate growth
  • Act as a Consultant for internal cross-functional teams through integration processes; collaborating with Product, Engineering, Finance, People Ops, Legal, and other functions that touch these teams
  • Build relationships with industry players, emerging startups, and investors to stay ahead of cutting-edge developments and gain insights into new trends and innovations
    Instill a customer-first culture centered around placing HubSpot customers at the forefront of every business decision

What we’re looking for:

  • Students currently studying Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Prior internship experience, especially in M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Software is a strong plus
  • Someone familiar with basic corporate finance & accounting, software & broader technology sector dynamics
  • Someone who has a keen interest in software & SaaS businesses, conducting market research, and M&A transaction execution
  • You can thrive in a fast-paced environment and can meet tight deadlines
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills
  • You have excellent attention to detail
  • You work well in a team environment


Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an educational program through August 2025
  • Must have the ability to work full-time, 40 hours a week, M-F from June-mid-August 

Cash compensation range: 24 USD Hourly

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
