HubSpot is a leading customer relationship management (CRM) platform for scaling companies. Tens of thousands of customers all over the world use our marketing, sales, and customer success software to grow their businesses. It's our mission to not just help them grow, but to help them grow better.
At HubSpot, we believe that our values live in our hearts, not our hallways. We want to build a... company where people feel empowered to do their best work, wherever they are.
What's the role?
This is an exciting career opportunity to grow traffic to and demand from the HubSpot blog, which currently generates over 10.5 million visits and hundreds of thousands of leads and signups each month. Join us and write HubSpot's playbook for the "New Era of Search."
In this role, you'll join the team that plays a pivotal part in driving the strategy and direction of the English blog. You'll look for ways to maximize visibility and impact on search and contribute to our strategies for driving leads, signups, and revenue from the blog.
In this role, you'll get to:
Perform keyword research and competitive gap analysis. Whether it's analyzing the opportunity for a new topic area or diagnosing a traffic drop, you'll be looking at target keywords, topic clusters, and search competitors to find growth opportunities.
Collaborate with our Media team filled with world-class content creators. We produce nearly 100 pieces of content on the English blog monthly. You'll provide strategic recommendations to organic search performance and coordinate with content creators to ensure their questions are answered and needs are met.
Conduct deep-dive SEO audits. As part of maintaining a healthy blog, you'll conduct audits and provide recommendations on how we can optimize our content portfolio based on alignment against our personas, products, and performance goals.
Identify trends and insights that impact blog performance. You'll monitor SEO industry, SERP, and AI changes and communicate risks and opportunities to HubSpot Marketing leadership.
Track, analyze, and report on performance KPIs. You'll report on organic search KPIs to stakeholders across our Digital Marketing and Media teams with an in-depth understanding of the factors that drive performance.
Own high-impact growth initiatives. You'll use strong project management skills to keep projects — such as content audits, algorithm impact analysis, and optimization sprints — on track and moving forward.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams. The HubSpot blog drives business impact in numerous ways. You'll help coordinate campaigns that promote new product feature launches, consult with stakeholders on experimenting with new channels, and stay abreast of conversion pathing strategies and CRO tests.
Coordinate with our technical SEO lead. Together, you'll work to implement technical projects that improve the crawlability, indexation, and ranking of the HubSpot blog.
We're looking for candidates who:
Are at a mid-level or intermediate stage in their career and have content SEO experience that can be applied at scale. The EN HubSpot blog has more than 14,000 URLs, which introduces different needs and angles when it comes to analysis and problem-solving.
Bring a growth marketing mindset to the table. While this is technically a Content SEO role, the goal isn't just driving traffic — it's driving high-intent, qualified traffic that converts. Candidates bringing knowledge of conversion rate optimization and other growth marketing skills will be strongly considered.
Get hyped about numbers and factors driving them. If you know Google Search Console in and out or get nerdy about Looker or Google Data Studio dashboards, that energy is welcome here. In this environment, you'll dig deep into the data and turn your findings into actionable insights.
Communicate with impact. This is a remote environment with global stakeholders; async communication and best practices are mandatory. Conveying complex SEO concepts in a clear and compelling manner will drive success, especially as you champion SEO best practices across the Marketing organization to influence buy-in and foster collaboration. Candidates who can overcommunicate through various channels and work autonomously will feel at home here.
Stay ahead of industry trends. The HubSpot blog has a wide search presence and is at the forefront of some of the most competitive editorial topics in marketing, sales, customer service, and website development. From algorithm updates focusing on helpful content and EEAT to SGE (Search Generative Experience), the SEO landscape is changing. Candidates who keep a pulse on current trends will be the ones best set up for success in this role.
Own their work and optimize their time for impact. The last thing we want is work being done for work's sake. Candidates should contribute at a high level to the objectives, goals, and plays (OGPs) that will move the needle. That means taking ownership of the numbers, ensuring you're spending time on the right tasks, holding yourself accountable, and flagging roadblocks early and often.
