ROLE DEFINITION
As a member of the Americas HR Leadership Team, you will have an opportunity to provide HR leadership to our largest manufacturing site located in Richmond, Virginia, and will be a member of the site leadership team. The successful candidate will lead the overall HR/People strategy for the site in alignment with the business and HR priorities to promote a work environment focused on exceptional opportunities and experiences designed to help each employee create a connection to our company purpose.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a team of HR professionals and has tremendous professional visibility across the organization with an opportunity to make a significant business impact. You will have the opportunity to partner with the broader HR team (Centers of Expertise and other HR Partners) to help shape the overall work experience of our employees and leaders.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the overall development of the HR strategy for the site with a focus on strengthening employee relations and ultimately driving performance improvements
Lead the overall strategy for employee and labor relations and collaborate as appropriate with HR Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners
Lead the HR team in the prioritization, implementation and delivery of HR programs that align with the overall business priorities, HR strategy and delivery model
Interpret and administer site Collective Bargaining Agreement in partnership with the site leadership team
Ensure the visibility to HR analytics to site leaders, and action them to shape priorities and focus areas for the site
Champion the development of site leaders utilizing our internal leadership model as the foundation with a focus on improving overall site performance
Collaborate as appropriate within the overall HR team regarding improvement ideas and process simplifications
Collaborate with site and union leadership to advance partnership and foster a culture of positive employee relations
Ensure compliance to company, government and/or local requirements and policies
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA Human Resources degree or other degrees with relevant experience in the HR field
15+ years of experience in Human Resources with extensive manufacturing experience
Deep expertise as an HR generalist with demonstrated successes in the employee relations/labor relations/unionized environments is required.
Demonstrated ability to influence as a member of site/business leadership teams and recognized as an expert and trusted advisor in the HR space
Demonstrated skills in building an overall HR strategy in manufacturing environments with a focus on increasing employee engagement
Experience in using HR analytics to educate and influence business leaders in decision making processes
Demonstrated ability to drive change in an organization
Experience navigating within a broader HR community through effective collaboration across all parts of the organization
Previous experience leading HR team members
Possesses excellent communication, judgement, and organization skills
