SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking an administrative level candidate for the Employee/Labor Relations section of the Human Resources Department. This position will provide assistance with a wide variety of Employee/Labor Relations and Human Resources activities dealing with highly confidential/sensitive information. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting office staff members, researching background information related to inquiries and grievances; drafting, coordinating and preparing documents in a timely manner, including those related to required contractual processes; calculating extensions for probationary periods, overseeing the employee unsatisfactory evaluation appeal process; maintaining office data bases and preparing reports as necessary; scheduling meetings and preparing agendas for various meetings such as local labor/management meetings with unions; and assisting in office functions such as phones and scanning of documents into extensive electronic filing systems.
Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelors Degree, Excellent written/verbal communication, computer and organizational skills required.
