Human Resources Business Partner

If you are a HUMAN RESOURCES PROFESSIONAL looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will provide Human Resources support to assigned work groups.

In this role, you will be part of a dedicated human resources team and will contribute to the exciting transformation of the HR function. You will have the opportunity to support the goals and objectives related to this transformation.

AS A HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER, YOU WILL:

  • Provide full service human resources support for assigned groups; establish relationships with the leadership team and understand the key business issues for this team.
  • Conduct investigations regarding employee concerns, ensuring due process is followed.
  • Provide proactive input to key managers regarding employee relations, organizational design, leadership development, and other human resources issues.
  • Advise employees and supervision on company guidelines and practices while working to ensure guidelines are administered fairly and consistently across the organization.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure the best qualified candidate is hired for each opening.
  • Recommend changes to processes, practices, and guidelines.
  • Support company learning and development programs.
  • Support Human Resources processes to include salary planning, employee survey processes, continuous improvement opportunities, and other projects as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE:

You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography. You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You deal constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes. You break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions and anticipate and adjust effective contingency plans.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 4 years’ related experience including 1 or more years of hands-on employee relations experience
  • Experience supporting an hourly workforce
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Business or related degree preferred
  • Human Resources Experience in an operations or manufacturing environment
