Human Resources Coordinator

**This is a part time temporary position**

Position: Human Resources Coordinator

Hours of Work:
Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM

To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.

In This Role, You Will…
Be responsible for providing support to the Human Resource operations leadership teams, with a focus in total rewards (Benefits and Compensation) and employee leaves of absence. As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will help ensure that HR operations runs efficiently and with minimal errors by assisting with auditing, communication, and HRIS system input.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
  • Act as an HR resource for all employees at Mariner Finance through email, telephone, and in-person needs.
  • Serve as first point of contact on group distribution lists, and resolve questions, concerns or issues by providing information, directing to the appropriate resource, or troubleshooting.
  • Process routine and ad hoc HRIS (Human Resources Information System) workflow requests, and perform follow-up actions for the request as needed (i.e. send communications, adjust data in additional information systems, review for confirmation of processing, etc.)
  • Assist with total rewards administration and application to ensure accuracy, compliance, and awareness. This may include, but is not limited to: following internal policies to determine employee eligibility, generating invoices and employee notices, update intranet content, etc.
  • Perform routine data audits of HRIS, additional information systems, or reporting; bring disrepencies or inconsistencies in findings to the attention of management for resolution, assisting in such where directed.
  • Provide information from scheduled and ad-hoc reporting as requested.
  • Provide support in employee communications by reviewing, editing, or writing content as assigned.
  • Review and process delivered mail, and send mail as required.
  • Assist with ad-hoc HR projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Preserve confidentiality of all information of a private or sensitive nature, including but not limited to personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), financial information, and company/proprietary information.
  • May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a related field (Human Resources, Compliance, Payroll, etc.).
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service with the ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines with both local and remote staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with an HRIS or employee data system (ADP, Workday, Dayforce, etc.).
  • Completion of an Associate’s Degree (or two (2) years of college course work).
  • Experience working on employee benefits or compensation projects in an HR department.
  • Experience supporting employees in a multi-state worksite organization.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
