The Human Resources Generalist requires people-person who can represent QMF in a professional positive manner. This role must have interpersonal communication skills, be people oriented, highly Emotional Intelligence, collaborate with several employees regularly, be enthusiastic and outgoing with our workforce and meticulous and organized enough to manage compliance regular basis. In addition, The HRG is engaging and approachable, can mediate tough conversations with authentic empathy by utilizing EQ skillset and has an extraordinary HR skill in employee relations, performance management, and California Employment Law.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Function as the QMF HR Generalist supporting our B3, B6, B8, B5 Fremont off- site office.
- Supports Human Resources Manager deliverables to include but is not limited to day-to-day functions, performance management, employee relations, HR internal audit and processing for payroll as needed.
- Analyzes site trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Manager to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Partner with Human Resources Manager to provide guidance to QMF leadership on a variety of topics to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application and performance management.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the State of California legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Performs periodic audits of HR/employee files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred or
- At least 6-8 years of advanced Human Resources Generalist experience in employee relations function and the State of California is required.
- Proven solid foundation and knowledge of principles & practices of HR employment law is a must.
- Bi-lingual is plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Travel to offsite locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
