Associate, Development
Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking an Associate to provide administrative assistance in the Berlin Office. The successful candidate will work closely with the Development and Outreach team to support fundraising activities in Germany.
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with donors
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong analytical skills and online research abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Experience with Salesforce or other donor databases
- Experience in project management, event planning, community engagement, or philanthropy
- Interest in human rights
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Development and Outreach team
- Maintain HRW's Salesforce database
- Coordinate logistics and event support
- Assist with prospect and donor cultivation
- Coordinate content development and distribution
- Assist with editing and translating documents
- Recruit, train, and supervise interns
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Education or training in project management, event organization, administration, logistics, or fundraising is preferable
