Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary: This position gathers and prepares information for entry into FACTS. Employee will receive information and/or take responsibility to search open case files in order to ensure complete and accurate information is being entered into FACTS. The Family and Child Tracking System (FACTS) is the system used by DCF to manage the child welfare system. Its primary function is to capture and maintain a record of the services provided to families and children served within the child welfare systems. FACTS contains information to manage public/private partnerships and provide reports related to both State and Federal outcomes. It is our Federal reporting system, and houses demographic data for all children who are in the custody of the Secretary, as well as the children and families receiving in-home services through PPS.


Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • This employee will communicate regularly with staff within the PPS program related to specific processes or procedures in an effort to enhance efficiencies, accuracy and the integrity of FACTS.
  • This position is responsible for analyzing information received, extracting or selecting appropriate elements for entry, and understanding and ensuring accurate correlation between the selected entry and various program possibilities
  • This position provides an environment of continuous learning for staff outside of the FACTS team. This employee is in a position to educate regional staff how to navigate the system

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum Qualifications:

    Two years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must be able to pass a KBI/FBI Security Clearance
