Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe Billing & Reconciliation Representative determines discrepancies between company records and the records of Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.Job Functions:• Reconciles accounts each month, documenting any problems found during reconciliation, and provides appropriate plans that will lead to their resolution.• Provides exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interested parties are continually updated about the status of their account.• Corrects enrollment and cash posting discrepancies as they relate to billing.• Prepares documents to inform management, market groups, and regional personnel of the status of account issues.• Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.• Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.Required Qualifications• High School Diploma or equivalent.• 1 or more years of customer service experience.• Must be comfortable verbally speaking with members concerning issue resolution.• Ability to shift responsibilities quickly to meet business needs.• Microsoft Office experience (MS Word and Excel)• Shift hours 10:00am-7:00pm ESTPreferred Qualifications• Prior experience with Medicare• Prior Billing and/or Reconciliation Experience• 1 or more years of technical experience: PBS, MarX, Macess, and CRM• Experience with Compliance• Experience protect Personal Health Information (PHI)Use your skills to make an impactWAH StatementTo ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership• Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA informationAlert:Humana values personal identity protection.
