Help us make a significant impact as we assist our members in achieving their best health!This Data Scientist 2 position will join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to help identify data sets that are impactful to the SRE organization and ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy of the data. Additionally, this individual will help establish processes and procedures for gathering, validating, analyzing, and reporting data sets. In this role, you will also present information using data visualization and dashboarding techniques. The Data Scientist 2 uses mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions. The Data Scientist 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Data Scientist 2:• Develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.• Creates reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics.• Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.• Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.• Follows established guidelines/procedures.• Identifies, pulls, reviews, and validates data sets.• Ensures quality, consistency, and accuracy of datasets.• Analyzes large, complex data sets to extract insights and support decision making.• Develops predictive models.• Presents information using data visualization techniques.• Proposes solutions to business challenges.Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree• 4 years technical experience• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.• Experience with SQL queries• Experience working with large databases• Experience in developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting• Experience in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business• Experience in using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions• Possesses an understanding of department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas• Capable of making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situationsPreferred Qualifications• Master's Degree• Experience with the Azure data ecosystem• Financial knowledge• Experience working with ServiceNow ticket data• Experience with Power BIAdditional InformationLocation/Work Style: Remote USWhy Humana?At Humana, we know your well-being is important to you, and it's important to us too.
