Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe Senior Learning Design Intern will utilize Humana's Medicaid training and engage formerly acquired skillsets from prior experience and education to perform within the learning delivery team. Work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Senior Learning Design Professional Military Spouse Intern uses instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution in order to conduct or facilitate training courses for organization employees or external audiences. The Senior Learning Design Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.The Senior Learning Design Professional Military Spouse Intern:- Plans, organizes, and collaborates on developing training curriculum, materials, job performance aids and programs to meet specific training needs. Begins to influence department's strategy.- Analyzes content, organizes content, designs solutions, and writes facilitator guides, scripts, use case scenarios, performance support, mobile learning, and process documents.- Coordinates and facilitates all aspects of training programs for participants throughout the organization, including but not limited to instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training. Knows how to use system platform and collaborative tools to facilitate learning.- Analyzes learning needs and partners with subject matter experts to provide input for course content.- Writes effective learning objectives and coordinates performance assessments to measure training effectiveness.- Ensures course materials are current and relevant to training needs. Tracks and analyzes the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.- Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to facilitating trainings with markets.- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiencesUse your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications- Associate's Degree in any field- Minimum one, (1), year of training or learning development/facilitation experience- Minimum one, (1), year of administrative experience working with documentation to include creation and editing of materials which may be used for any of the following: training, SOPA (Standard Operation Procedure Announcement), process flows, and/or job aids.- Experience with learning strategies and adult learning theories- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Proficient in all office products (particularly Word, PPT, Excel, SharePoint and Vizio)- Ability to organize, analyze and synthesize information- Minimum Intermediate/Advanced typing and computer navigation skills using multiple systems, platforms) and an ability to troubleshoot and resolve general technical difficultiesPreferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas: Learning and Performance; Education; Organizational Design or related field- Understanding of curriculum design and adult learning principles- CBT creation (Articulate and/or Captivate), CSOD, design experience and coursework development- Experience using a wide variety of training tools to effectively facilitate to a wide audience- Microsoft Project experience- Experience managing projects or processesAdditional InformationThe DOD SkillBridge Internship Program provides an opportunity for transitioning military service members to gain civilian work experience with an employer for a period between 90 and 180 days upon approval.The Military Spouse Fellowship Program connects military spouses with employers offering a variety of professional onsite, field, or remote based opportunities.- Networking opportunities will be provided while participating in the Internship or Fellowship.- Due to factors such as location, and/or requirements that cannot be modified, full-time employment is not guaranteed upon completion of the Internship or Fellowship.Work style: Remote Work at Home and with combination travel to perform trainingLocations: United States, must be willing to work eastern time zone -Schedule:- Monday through Thursday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time- Typical work schedule is in Eastern Time Zone with flexibility depending on the state where training is being facilitated.Work at Home Requirements Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
