The Senior Data Scientist uses Machine Learning, AI, GenAI, mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions. The Senior Data Scientist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.The Senior Data Scientist:• Works with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Generative AI (GenAI).• Dives deep into data to uncover insights and solutions that will help solve customer problems.• Collaborates with engineering teams and product managers to integrate AI solutions into product offerings.• Engages with stakeholders to understand customer problems and helps translate them into AI solution.• Communicates complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.• Continuously learns and applies new skills and technologies to meet the evolving needs of the project.• Develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.• Creates reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics.• Begins to influence the department's strategy.• Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues concerning the technical approach for project components and perform work independently.Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of applicable experience OR Master's Degree and 3 or more years of experience• Experience with Python, PySpark, Machine Learning, and AI• Experience in building applications and putting products into production• Proficiency in utilizing mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions.• Experience in handling assignments that involve moderately complex to complex issues, where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.• Expertise in developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.• Skilled in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics.• Ability to make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components.Preferred Qualifications• PhD• Prior experience with NLP and LLMs (Hugging Face, OpenAI, Langchain, and Prompt Engineering)• Prior experience with Microsoft Azure and the Azure data ecosystemAdditional InformationLocation/Work Style: Remote USWhy Humana?At Humana, we know your well-being is important to you, and it's important to us too.
