Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer who will play a key role in implementing secure, agile infrastructure solutions. This position involves setting up and managing infrastructure using modern tools and working on complex DoD projects. The focus is on hands-on technical execution and collaboration to drive security and efficiency within the development and operations lifecycle. 

Required Experience: 

• Solve complex technical challenges and quickly adapt to new technologies. 
• Conduct in-depth technical analysis of operating systems, applications, databases, networks, and storage systems. 
• Establish and configure infrastructure using infrastructure as code and automated configuration tools. 
• Develop and maintain a robust DevSecOps platform supporting agile software development. 
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Gitlab. 
• Optimize build and deployment processes using Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Design and implement effective monitoring and alerting strategies for cloud infrastructure. 
• Implement security controls compliant with NIST 800-171, DoD Cloud Computing SRG, CMMC, and FedRAMP. 
• Develop custom tools to support engineering teams. 
• Introduce DevSecOps practices and tools to engineering teams. 
• Drive adoption of DevOps best practices across culture, code health, testing, monitoring, and alerting. 
• Optimize operational costs through service optimizations and demand-based auto-scaling. 

Minimum Experience: 

• 6+ years of professional experience engineering and implementing on-premises and cloud-native solutions (4+ with a Bachelor’s degree). 
• Experience deploying applications and infrastructure using GitOps principles and tools (e.g., ArgoCD or Flux). 
• Experience working within cross-functional software development teams. 
• Proficiency with major DOD cloud service providers (AWS Gov Cloud and Azure GCC High preferred). 
• Proven experience in developing, securing, and operating Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud infrastructure. 
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio and Linkerd. 
• Expertise in automation and configuration management tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Helm. 
• Experience implementing security controls (NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP) in regulated environments. 
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using GitHub Actions and GitLab Pipelines). 
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to industry best practices in privacy and security. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach. 
• Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• DoD IAT Level II Security Certification (Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA Security). 
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification. 
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator Certification. 
• Portfolio of past projects with code samples. 
• Ability to travel as needed. 
• Active Security Clearance.
