IBM Annotation Lead – Triage - Watson Orders

Your Role and Responsibilities
We are currently looking for an experienced annotator to join the machine learning data triage team. As an annotator on the team, you will be the knowledge expert in analyzing and annotating order quality with the mission to improve the drive-thru experience for Quick-Service Restaurants (QSR) customers. You will focus on performing in-house annotation tasks and participate in the quality assurance of outsourced projects.
Key to the role:

You will focus on performing in-house annotation tasks and participate in the quality assurance of outsourced projects.
• Be the main liaison of triage and external annotator firms regarding collaboration/training.
• Support data team annotation needs including providing golden set and training data.
• Be the project manager to devise the workflow, manage timeline for external annotation firms.
• Translate internal requirements to feasible annotation tasks for external annotation firms.
  

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 5 years in a professional environment with much of that time in a data annotation/quality assurance role
• Superior time management and multi-tasking skills
• Able to deliver multiple projects of varying lengths, while meeting quality standards and deadlines
• Self-motivating with the ability to work independently and with little to no supervision
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and capacity to ask questions when guidelines are not clear enough
  

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Well organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to independently navigate and learn new systems and tools related to annotation
• Comfortable in transparent environment. Able to collaborate, support and build relationships across varying teams and departments.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
