Identity & Access Management Engineer II (Remote)

American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking an Identity & Access Management Engineer II to join our Information Security Operations (ISO) department. This position will provide oversight for Identity and Access Management architecture, design, and operations in support of business needs and in compliance with regulations governing clinical and business information. Performs analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems involving interaction of security technology with infrastructure platforms This is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to multi-task and drive results. This position also requires working closely with numerous teams across the organization.

Salary Range

American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $72,000.00 to $110,000.00 Full Time Annual Salary Range.

Remote Worker Considerations

Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 10 Mbps upload speed).

Responsibilities

  • Performs day-to-day information security functions.
  • Develops, enhances, and maintains Identity and Access Management tools using various programming languages to provide simplified, secured, and automated account management solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IAM security infrastructure for which Information Security Department is responsible; maintain documentation.
  • Creates application connectors to map user application access to user profile Identities allowing for tracking of access, validation of appropriate access levels, enabling role-based requesting and auto-provisioning, perform event driven account updates, targeted event notifications, and enables advanced reporting capabilities.
  • Assists the Security Compliance team with technical aspects of action plans in response to findings by internal and external auditors.
  • Troubleshoot security and workflow issues independently or in collaboration with other Information Systems teams and/or stakeholders, while adhering to internal service standards.
  • Recommend design and implementation best practices; guide technical teams to understand non-functional requirements for availability, scalability, robustness, and security.
  • Create & manage technical system procedure documentation & ensure it is updated and current.
  • Adapt to a constantly changing environment; flexibility to work extended hours and weekends if needed, occasional travel required.
  • Stay current with trends and best practices in the IAM world and propose timely enhancements or replacements of products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, similar coursework, or related field preferred or related experience
  • 4 years of experience in IT with minimum 2 years with IAM experience required.
  • Working knowledge of database connections and SQL queries (required).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of Identity and Access Management and related controls in an enterprise environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Azure role-based access control (Azure RBAC) that provides fine-grained access management of Azure resources.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for design, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of system hardware and software and related infrastructure
  • Demonstrated knowledge of administrative, technical, and physical security controls.
  • Knowledge of a security control framework; preferably HITRUST.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Mobility

Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time.

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects. Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Office and/or Work-from-home (WFH) environment.
