Ideogram is a new generative AI startup looking for a dedicated Operations Manager to join the team. Our mission is to help people become more creative. We are developing state-of-the-art AI tools that will make creative expression more accessible, fun, and efficient. We are pushing the limits of what’s possible with AI, with a focus on creativity and a high standard for trust and safety. Our founding team consists of world-renowned AI experts including Mohammad Norouzi, Jonathan Ho, William Chan, and Chitwan Saharia. This team has previously led transformative AI projects at Google Brain, UC Berkeley, CMU, and the University of Toronto. Our fundamental work in AI includes: Imagen: Google’s text-to-image system, Imagen Video for video synthesis, Denoising Diffusion Models, WaveGrad for speech synthesis, neural speech recognition, neural machine translation, contrastive learning for learning visual representations, and generative adversarial imitation learning.
We seek a driven and experienced Operations Manager who will work directly with our CEO to support general internal operations such as business development and human resources. This is an opportunity to join a small, focused team and support a rapidly growing company. The right candidate for this role will help manage and implement processes for various operational needs and ensure smooth, scalable daily company execution. Execution success will depend on attention to detail and a “get things done” attitude. An excellent Operations Manager will foresee and address issues before they materialize. You will have the opportunity to grow with our company and build the future of AI for creativity.
Develop and implement financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Improve and implement the company’s business strategy
Oversee financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, audit, and compliance.
Oversee people operations, including hiring, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and benefits.
Serve as the point of contact between the company and various external firms managing bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and benefits.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including investors, key customers, and strategic business partners
Oversee and optimize company-wide processes to ensure seamless company execution.
Organize and attend key meetings with customers, investors, and internal teams, promptly addressing follow-ups and action items.
Analyze data, generate reports, and provide insights to support strategic planning and business development
3+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or program management.
Direct experience scaling operations or key systems in a growing, engineering-focused startup
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
