Director, Finance and Business Support

The Director, Finance and Business Support will provide strategic leadership and business partnership support for the L&L team including KG Tech team for the delivery of capital control and financial business services and strategies to support achievement of business plans and objectives.  Act as finance project lead where required to translate business needs and opportunities into financial strategies and actions that maximize returns and mitigate risks for the relevant business units.

 

Your day to day

  • Lead budget, forecast, and month-end processes for the KG Tech program, ensuring accuracy and governance.
  • Collaborate with BSC and COE teams to maintain legacy Kimpton processes for timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for legacy accounting processes and contribute to update memos as needed.
  • Evaluate and develop best practices in reporting and performance monitoring with regional colleagues.
  • Contribute to business strategy development with a finance perspective for the region.
  • Act as Finance Project lead to align financial strategies with business needs, maximizing returns and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and assist external auditors as needed.            

What we need from you

  • Prefer degree in Business/Finance or relevant field; professional accounting/finance certification preferred.
  • Over 5 years in hotel accounting/audit, with at least 3 years as Hotel Director of Finance or equivalent.
  • Experience with Head Office/Area/Offshore Accounting functions is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of finance, budgeting, accounting processes, and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and develop effective financial plans.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with financial software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Opera/Micros, ADP) and project management skills.

Travel - limited 10%

Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office.  This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.

The salary for this role is $100,000 to $190,000.  This role is also eligible for bonus pay.  We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
