Position Summary:
Answer incoming calls, provide excellent customer service, and deliver timely information and effective solutions to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls.
Ensure a high level of customer service is provided.
Research and follow up on customer issues regarding import shipments.
Act as a liaison between customers and overseas agents.
Process diversion requests.
Process rate disputes.
Answer incoming emails from internal and external customers.
Process tracking and tracing reports as needed.
Maintain the idle report.
Contact customers in regards to hazardous issues and claims.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Must be able to work Mon-Fri 10am - 7pm.
Skill set/Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
College Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
A minimum of 1 year experience in the Shipping Industry, including but not limited to U.S Customs, Logistics, import documentation, and rates.
Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft applications Excel, Word, etc.
Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills; with strong emphasis on attention to detail.
Ability to work with LARA, NOVA, Internet, E-mail, and DIVA.
