You are
An experienced Individual Disability Claims solution owner who has an internal drive to investigate using your critical thinking skills assessing policy matters and can manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. You are passionate about growing your career and confident sharing ideas to continually improve both yourself and move the organization into the future.
You will
Be a decision maker:
  • Focus on solving complex problems, while making timely, but thoughtful decisions to resolve client issues.
  • Analyze medical, financial, and other claim documents.
  • Have opportunities to meet with our customers in person.
  • Provide accurate claims decisions in a time sensitive and fast- paced environment, while adhering to all state and department of insurance regulations.
Be a leader:
  • Work across business lines including both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Work on department innovations.
You have
  • REQUIRED 3+ years of Individual Disability Claims experience.
  • Bachelor's degree – preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of claim management techniques and critical thinking requiring analysis and/or investigation.
  • Experience providing best in class customer service.
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing competing priorities with deadlines.
  • Experience negotiating settlement of claim with negotiating strategies and utilizing resources within authority limits.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Location
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely. The primary office location for this position is Pittsfield with occasional travel to meet business needs.
Salary Range
$55,100.00 - $90,530.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
