Job DescriptionThe Senior Full Stack Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative web applications. They will leverage extensive experience and expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies to build scalable, high-performance solutions that meet the needs of end users and drive the success of products. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development processes. This is a full-time position with remote, hybrid and on-site opportunities available.Responsibilities• Leading or significantly contributing to medium-to-large software releases that involve multiple people and may cross team boundaries• Contributing to strategy, technical direction, and planning• Working with teammates to understand stakeholder needs and deliver effective outcomes• Participating in the design review process, seeking and providing constructive feedback• Responsible for the entire lifecycle of their code: development, test, production, and subsequent fixing and improving• Contributing to team activities and collaborating within the team to solve problems.• Ensuring that knowledge is shared amongst the team.• Advising engineering management with insights and recommendations to improve the team• Assisting with recruitment and hiring efforts• Providing mentorship and guidance to more junior team membersRequirements• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)• 5+ years of experience in a production environment as a full stack web engineer• Strong experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML• Experience with a Python Framework (ex. Django, Flask)• Proficiency in a least one modern database technology (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)• Solid understanding of Restful APIs• Experience with Git and related workflows• Familiar with web-related AWS services (ex. EC2, RDS, S3)• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills• Experience writing automated tests• Documents important business requirements and technical information• Not required, but a plus:• Experience working in an agile team environment• Experience with build systems (ex. Jenkins) and build pipelines• Advanced experience with AWS containerization or developer related services• Able to work within the Linux environment to manage web applications and related tasks$110,000 - $125,000 a yearPayBased on the Sacramento region, the new hires minimum and maximum target salary for this role is $110k - $125k.Inductive Automation’s ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility.
