Description:

The purpose of the Maintenance Technician position is to safely maintain the plant packaging, processing and support equipment in order to meet the needs of the Water Care Business at the Alpharetta plant. The key deliverable is effective and timely repairs to coordinate with production schedules.

As Maintenance Technician you will work towards eliminating the downtime with preventative maintenance, you will clean and maintain both the tools and test equipment. You will work with various departments so maintaining close communications will be key into maintaining working relationships. You will be expected to keep accurate records and data inputted in the plant computer networks, ensuring compliance with near-ISO requirements.

This position will require both electrical and mechanical tasks, therefore in order to complete these you will need to have experience working with electrics including PLC experience. The team use Allen Bradley but you can have experience on any.

Qualifications:

Industrial Maintenance related plant experience
PLC troubleshooting experience
You must be able to work independently but also as a team
As you will be inputting data, you will need basic computer skills
Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field is preferred
Experience working with packaging equipment is desirable but not essential
Demonstrate maintenance aptitude and skills
Willing to take training/classes as required by plant and equipment needs
Willing to be flexible to working needs of plant
Ability to read and apply equipment manuals, instructions, and troubleshooting guides
Pipe fitting / pump repair
Millwright and equipment set-up / installation
Measuring skills including use of devices and equipment
Basic welding and fabricating is desired

Working Conditions - Plant and Office Environment

Ability to perform essential functions of the job including:

Lifting up to 55 pounds
Climbing ladders
Working in elevated environments and in restricted / confined areas
Wearing respiratory protection
Working in varying uncontrolled climate conditions
