Platform Engineer – LLM Infrastructure & Backend Systems

Inflection AI, a public benefit corporation focused on enterprise AI platforms, is seeking a Platform Engineer to develop backend infrastructure for ML-powered products. The ideal candidate will combine backend engineering expertise with experience in machine learning systems to build scalable, secure enterprise solutions.

Skills

Backend development experience using Python, TypeScript, or Node.js.
Hands-on experience with production PyTorch models, model checkpoints, and inference logic.
Strong knowledge of scalable, stable, and secure API and service building.
Familiarity with FastAPI, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, and React.
Passion for bridging backend engineering with ML systems, especially infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain backend services for LLM integration, inference orchestration, and data flow.
Write clean, reliable Python code for model integration and production systems.
Collaborate with ML researchers to iterate rapidly on product features.
Design and implement infrastructure for scalable inference workloads and enterprise use cases.
Own system components ensuring reliability, observability, and maintainability.

Education

Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
