We are seeking an VP/SVP, Performance Media to lead and drive a high-performance team that oversees all cross-channel media activity across assigned campaigns from strategy through activation. This role will be responsible for bringing operational and media strategy excellence to ensure our clients’ business goals are achieved. This role will partner across functions to bring the very best in... process, metrics and media data strategies for overall team and client success. This role requires a leader with exceptional execution and operational skills, and a passion for driving the media narrative internally and externally, delivering growth and engagement with our clients and the industry, and a strong knowledge of platforms, channels and data.
In general, a typical day will include:
• Lead the department vision, setting the standard for and driving the impact of paid media campaigns that deliver client excellence.
• Develop and implement a performance media planning process that is scalable and adaptable to our clients goals and ensures effective and consistent standards across our client portfolios
• Engage with account portfolio teams and provide expert knowledge of campaign optimization initiatives that drive and deliver against client KPIs
• As the expert and leader in the paid media space, drive innovation and thought leadership both as a new business asset and across our team to drive modern and effective solutions for our clients.
• Utilize your exceptional strategic thinking, data skills and drive for excellence to deliver innovative media plans to high-profile clients, driving current and new business opportunities
• Ensure operational excellence and compliance is maintained through workflows and consistent team practices.
• Foster a collaborative environment across the immediate department and all teams within the company to ensure cohesive and impactful campaign delivery.
• Provide vision, direction, coaching and management to individuals within the team to ensure their work aligns with our mission, goals and values.
• Be a resource to support and develop the internal teams overall competency and technical expertise to expand and grow the impact across the business and our clients results.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually push the boundaries of paid media.
Being an VP/SVP, Performance Media requires:
• At least 10 years of experience in paid media with progressive levels of responsibility
• 5+ years of previous management experience, established skillset in creating a team culture that fosters collaboration and high-performance
• Proactively leading and elevating media strategies across a portfolio of brands and excelling in the delivery of projects
• Exceptional understanding of marketing and social landscape, best practices, metrics and industry benchmarks.
• Proven track records of optimizing and delivering multiple strategic paid media campaigns that fulfill the goals and KPIs required by the client
• Ability to anticipate and quickly assess continually changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly.
• Effective at delivering data-driven presentation to high-profile clients
• Excellent written communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
• A proactive action-oriented mindset with the ability to create and implement processes to enhance departmental output.
• Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and on platform buying and 3rd party bid management tools (Meta, Tik Tok, Snap)
• Expertise in building and fostering partner relationships with key media platforms (Meta, Tik Tok, Snap, YouTube, etc)
• Experience determining advanced data and measurement solutions for media programs to prove business outcomes (3rd party data providers, Sales Lift, MMM, Conversion Optimization, Tune On, etc)
• Ability to train a team to apply media expertise to Creator led marketing programs and identify content optimization opportunities across various media channels
• The ability to operate effectively within the unknown and lead the charge
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred
• Experience at agency, marketing-tech or media start-up desirable
Salary range:
$170,000 - $235,000
