We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our SaaS Next-Gen Platform team in Burnaby, BC, reporting to the senior manager of Software Engineering. In this role, you will be a part of the team building a SaaS-based recursive DNS Firewall Service that provides visibility into infected and compromised off-premise devices, roaming users, and branch and remote offices. As part of the SaaS Platform team, you will have the opportunity to use the latest technology to deliver the core foundation for all Infoblox applications and work with the best of the technical and thought leadership team at Infoblox.

What you’ll do:
- Develop, design, and maintain features and iteratively deploy services using Infoblox’s cloud-based architecture
- Design and implement components of Infoblox’s next generation platform
- Recommend ways to improve system reliability, efficiency, and quality
- Work closely with various cross-functional Product teams
- Stay up-to-date on key trends, especially in the area of technologies and frameworks like Kubernetes, Docker, ELK/Prometheus, etc.
- Own key back-end components of the platform
- Develop REST & gRPC APIs and contribute to the overall API framework
What you’ll bring:
- 8+ years of experience in software development with programming languages such as Golang, C, C++, C#, or Java
- In-depth knowledge of Linux system internals, including boot, network, and storage subsystems
- Knowledge of protocols such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, and TCP/IP
- Good understanding of Microservices architecture and container-based software
- Experience in microservices development and container-based software using Docker/Kubernetes and other container technologies is a plus
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, such as EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, and CloudFormation, is a plus
- Good exposure to application performance tuning, memory management, and scalability
- Ability to design highly scalable distributed systems using different open-source technologies and experience building high-performance algorithms
- Knowledge in multi-cloud, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, is an added advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering is required, master’s degree preferred

You can expect our employment offers to take many factors into consideration, including but not limited to the location of the role, internal equity, applicable past experience, individual skill set, education, and professional certifications. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position based in the province of British Columbia is $110,300 - $164,360, plus corporate bonus potential.
