Informatica is currently seeking a Principal Information Security Project Manager, Public Sector to work within our Global Security Organization (GSO) Security Protection, Strategy & Operations team with experience in strategic, public sector security focused projects and programs, to support shared programs, projects and capabilities across the global security platform. This is a Remote position reporting to our Senior Information Security Business Operations & Program Manager.

Job Summary This role will support public sector project management, inclusive of FedRAMP, TexRAMP, UK Cyber Essentials and others. Specific focus on public sector/risk and compliance knowledge and complexity critical to ongoing successful certification in public sector areas to support critical business requirements for our customers and retain ability to sell in the public sector.

The successful Principal Information Security Project Manager, Public Sector in this role will oversee and coordinate assigned high impact, complex projects and programs with various team members and departments globally, providing guidance and direction to GSO team members to support successful completion. The Principal Information Security Project Manager, Public Sector will assist and establish project scope for new and existing GSO public sector related activities to ensure goals are met based on provided guidelines and budget. Must establish and maintain effective communications, reporting, and metrics to provide progress reports to GSO and Informatica leadership on open projects and programs. May interface and provide support in reporting to public agencies, such as Department of State (DOS) or other related agencies, in support of Informatica projects and programs. The Principal Information Security Project Manager, Public Sector will also support teams to work with various partners to drive programs to completion and maturity, including program related budget management and reporting.

Day to Day Duties & Key Responsibilities - What You'll Be Doing

  • Act as program, product and project manager for high impact security related projects to assure cross-functional engagement, timelines are aligned, and deadlines are managed appropriately
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with security and partners, vendors, IT architects, legal, privacy, technical teams and others
  • Provide guidance, coordination, management, and support for GSO program and project teams to successfully deliver per project schedules and budget
  • Provide the single point of contact for resolution of project related issues while communicating overall project status on a regular basis
  • Manage transactional processes, and lead monthly cross-functional procedures
  • Lead high impact program meetings, establish and support working groups, and contribute to the growth of required documentation and guidance to increase maturity across GSO
  • Manage program and project budget and timelines for on-budget, in-scope, on-time delivery of milestones

Key Essentials

  • 6+ years experience managing IT related programs or projects, including projects specifically in support of public sector requirements and programs
  • Experience managing and supporting programs and projects with department-level and cross-functionally impacting budgets
  • Experience developing cross-functional high priority project plans and planning for capacity impacts to both operational and project related work
  • Strong history and track record of completing quality projects and assignments on time and on budget, with frequent presentation and reporting to senior leadership
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resources
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.

What Does Success Look Like?

The successful candidate will assist in the evolution of security posture and maturity based on successfully guiding teams on the planning and delivery of high impact security program and projects, increasing our overall maturity while supporting metrics and requirements to protect Informatica's corporate and cloud infrastructure. They will advocate for and develop new methods to report relevant details and information in ways that link to our business value and impact, while developing relationships across the enterprise.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 Rev4 or Rev5 security controls, CMMC or NIST 800-37 risk management framework.
  • Experience working with Federal Agencies and/or stakeholders in highly-regulated verticals
  • Experience working with security governance, risk & compliance programs and projects.
  • A skilled collaborator, communicator, and problem solver, with experience managing relationships through internal and external escalations
  • A can-do attitude with a relentless focus on our customers and partners
  • Track record of collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams to create solutions greater than the sum of its parts
  • Working knowledge in the following areas: customer service management, project management, process improvement, finance and budgeting, problem escalation
  • Desired certifications & Trainings: ISO certifications, CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, or related GIAC
  • Experience developing high-level presentations of data to various audiences
