The Information Mailroom Recept processes mail for Raritan Bay Medical Center to include Perth Amboy and Old Bridge Divisions. Operates a mailing machine/scale and performs clerical duties.
Responsibilities:
Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
Sorts, alphabetizes, and files all incoming invoices for Accounts Payable and depositing in departmental slots.
Sorts all incoming mail for monies and distributes to departments from morning delivery.
Sorts incoming mail for departmental slots and distributes all mass mailings for interdepartmental as requested.
Delivery of incoming mail.
Delivers all incoming x-rays to Diagnostic Imaging Services on receipt.
Delivers mail to physicians/residents lounge and deposits in mailboxes. Notifies physicians' offices when mail requires pick up.
Operates a Pitney Bowes mailing machine/scale.
Operates mailing machine for all outgoing mail, by changing date, checking water/ink levels, accurate operation of scale, and postage amount.
Programs postage from telephone to meter through computerized system.
Weighs large items, such as envelopes/films on a computerized scale to ensure proper amount of postage.
Maintains and records information.
Records all statistical information regarding outgoing and incoming mail and posts in a daily log.
Maintains accurate logbook for registered and insured mail. Prepares check requests for postage on all accounts using form for approval.
Assumes all duties and responsibilities of Information Clerk/Receptionist at the Information Desk as required.
Receives and directs visitors in the reception area by use of color coded pass system and issues paper passes for other locations.
Operates CRT for patient condition report and room number. Provides information to the general public.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three months of experience, including all phases of mailroom operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
