Information Security Co-Op

Loopio is looking for an Information Security Co-Op to join our growing Information Security team! In this role, you will be supporting the SOC2 and IOS27001 audits. You will gather data and have the opportunity to develop and implement policies. You will work closely with Loopio’s Security Tool ensuring accuracy. The Information Security Co-Op will work closely with the Information Technology and Operations teams to mitigate security risks while enabling Loopio to grow and serve our customers efficiently and securely.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support our ISO & SOC2 initiatives: data gathering, reviewing, interviewing stakeholders, observing and testing controls, etc.
- Content Management: You will editing and creating content for the Loopio corporate security stack.
- Application Risk Assessments: In this you will work on gathering information on Loopio’s security stack and identifying variances to the Loopio security standards (this will be a focus on the risk and compliance side).
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Checklist management for when new hires join the company and when employees depart. This will include auditing, access reviews, etc.
- Security awareness compliance training: Using our tool, Knowbe4, you will be assisting in the design of phishing emails, monitoring completion of security awareness training, and preparing reports on the results for Management.
- Internal-customer focused mindset: Supporting Sales team answering security questionnaires using Loopio’s platform, LoopCentral.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Effectively prioritize workload demands to meet deadlines
- Working towards or active interest in pursuing Certifications (CISM, CRISC, CCSP, etc.) Pursuing degree, diploma or certification in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or Information Technology, Information Security
- Nice to have: Knowledge and expertise with a range of security/risk management governance, guidance, compliance documentation
- Curiosity! We want you to take initiative and give us feedback on how we can continue to improve our processes!
Where You’ll Work
- Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. We have two Hub Regions, which means that employees live and work within a 300 KM radius of Toronto (within Ontario) or Vancouver (within British Columbia) and work within regular business hours in their timezone.
- Loopio's office headquarters are located in Toronto’s vibrant Kensington Market. Ontario Loopers have the option to work in the office (when it’s safe to do so) or from home, whatever works best for you! Loopio does not have a Vancouver office space and BC Loopers will work remotely from home.
- You’ll collaborate with your teams virtually (we’re just a Zoom call away!) and have established core sync hours and focus time during the workday to enable us to work smarter together.
