New Business Specialist

This is a hybrid opportunity and this role requires onsite in-office presence approximately 1 to 3 days per week at our New York City office location.

The PCS New Business Specialist will serve as the trusted advisor for producers and clients providing a comprehensive insurance solution for their standard Private Client portfolios. The role will build strong internal and external relationships and transition prospects into clients.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Natural ability to consult and develop new business, with emphasis on understanding of client exposures and coverage needs
  • Demonstrate track record of transitioning prospects into clients in addition to initiating new revenue by making coverage recommendations and rounding accounts.
  • Stellar client engagement skill set
  • Persistence with a focus on driving revenue through solution-driven consultation
  • Relationship mentality to engage producers, office leaders and colleagues for their identifiable prospects
  • A commitment to maintain organized records for all aspects of the new business process.
  • Self-starter dedication to utilizing research tools for prospect research and building professional contact networks
  • Deep understanding of the private client marketplace, coverage complexities and strong relationships with industry partners
  • Work with Regional and National Leadership to develop new business best practices for the submission and quoting process, both at a regional and national level

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of successful, documented account management or marketing experience
  • Broad industry knowledge with continued education and development.
  • Industry specific designations preferred- CISR, CIC or similar
  • Meet established activity and productivity goals
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, and able to work effectively under pressure, handling multiple tasks with interruptions and changing priorities
  • Exceptional organization and time-management skills
  • Bringing prospects to closure while maximizing client retention through superior customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple competing priorities & demands

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $51,800 - $85,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
