Assistant Financial Controller - INSHUR (US)

You'll be working on re-inventing insurance in exciting markets across multiple territories including the UK, US and the Netherlands.Supported by (and reporting to) the Group Financial Controller, you'll be joining a friendly team of 12 who believe in the mission of using technology and automation to establish processes and systems to improve the accuracy of the accounting and reporting functions.What You'll DoAs our Assistant Controller you will be responsible for managing all accounting operations and preparation of financial statements of our United States entities in accordance with GAAP. Your responsibilities include:• Accounting & Financial Reporting: Leading all aspects of accounting and financial reporting and the monthly close process with full responsibility for timeliness and accuracy• Financial Compliance & Reporting: Leading the preparation of accurate and high-quality financial reports in compliance with US GAAP, bank/regulatory reporting, and management reporting and analysis• Complex Accounting: Having direct responsibility for accounting of complex accounting and disclosure areas, such as consolidation, revenue recognition, reserves, accruals, and other disclosures• External Audit: Assisting with the Inshur Holdings Group external audit• Technical Accounting: Researching and analysing technical accounting issues as needed• People Management: Supervising a team within the Finance group• M&A Integration: Experience integrating acquired companies into existing accounting practices• Internal Controls: Designing, implementing and maintaining effective internal controls.
