Control Technician/Engineer

Position: Controls EngineerDuration: On-going contract 1 year min + likely extensions/direct hire opportunityLocation: Marion INShift: 1st shift – needs to be able to work 2nd shift as needed (OT/weekend work as needed)Compensation: $39-$42/hrExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. The controls engineer will be programming Allen Bradley PLCs and supporting the production line for general assembly. You will be going on layout meetings, ensuring the project runs efficiently and is meeting deadlines, and troubleshooting on the production line as needed. Additional Responsibilities include:• New program implementation/execution (SOR prep, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off and buyoff)• Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts• Manage deliveries to program timing milestones• Provide project report outs to senior management• Existing program/site support (troubleshooting, etc.)• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all customers/plants• Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers.• Design and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems• Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology
