Safety Manager

Position: EH&S ManagerLocation: Baltimore, MDDuration: PermanentRequirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in an Environmental Health and Safety related field or equivalent experience• Minimum 5+ years of site safety management experience• OSHA 30• Recognized Safety Professional Certification (Examples: BCSP, CSP, CHST, ASP, GSP)• CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification• Experience working on large projects in excess $10M range or higher.• An in-depth knowledge of OSHA RegulationsPlusses:• OSHA 500 or 501• 1 Aid/CPR trainer experience• Spanish speaking abilityOur client is one of the largest employee-owned general contractors and Construction Management companies in the United States. This is a permanent, long-term opportunity ideal for someone looking for a career home.Responsibilities include:• Facilitate pre-construction review and planning activities.• Conduct frequent physical inspections of the site, risk assessments, review Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) documents and give feedback .• Effectively communicate with all persons on the jobsite.• Actively identify potential hazards.• Notify responsible parties when immediate corrective actions are required.• Effectively administer a progressive disciplinary program.• Able to perform basic computer operations.• Notify responsible parties when immediate corrective actions are required.• Effectively administer a progressive disciplinary program.• Able to perform basic computer operations.
