Site reliability engineer

Insight Global is looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to work remotely in Peru or Guatemala for a large AAA game employer on a 9-12 month contract.You will be working within the Production Infrastructure & Engineering (PI&E) organization that provides the essential platforms and infrastructure hosting solutions that power the companies live services.The goal of this team is to ensure that services are available to all players anytime and anywhere by focusing on high availability of infrastructure, primary services, and studio services.As a Site Reliability Engineer, your role covers the entire life cycle of a product, from helping developers with architecture and delivery to on-call incident response and triage.Your primary focus will be automation and continuous integration / delivery with an emphasis on solving operations issues using software.You will report to the Sr. Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, and attend daily standups with your team. Part of your day-to-day will include working on a back log of fleet level (large-scale) infrastructure that is a part of the teams open sourced projects that they currently have running.You will be responding to incidents and troubleshooting, which entails performing root cause analysis / post-mortems and understand how to prevent this in the future.You will use automation technologies to ensure repeatability, eliminate toil, reduce MTTD & MTTR, and additionally you will be designing CI / CD pipelines.Reviewing of peer engineer code to make continuous improvements as well as automation changes are also part of what you will be doing daily.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.If you need assistance and / or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal. com .To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy : https : / / insightglobal.com / workforce-privacy-policy / .• Pay range of $20-30 / hr• 3+ years of experience monitoring infrastructure and application availability to ensure SLI and SLO.• 3+ years of experience with Virtualization, Containerization, Cloud Computing (AWS preferred), VMWare ecosystems, Kubernetes, or Docker.• Systems Administration experience, including an understanding of *nix.• Network experience, including an understanding of standard protocols / components.• Automation and orchestration experience including Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Packer, or Jenkins.• Experience writing code in Python, Golang, or Java.• Experience working with distributed systems.Last updated : 2024-08-08
