Position:

Inspector

Job Type: Full-Time Hourly

Pay: $24 - $35 per hour DOE

Has responsibility for working independently in a team environment where individuals are self-directed within a system performing inspection activities using standard inspection tools.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring parts are within tolerances defined on drawings and by CAD models supplied by engineers
  • Using high precision inspection tools including a CMM and a Romer Arm
  • Ensuring parts move through the system on schedule
  • Working with engineers to determine disposition of parts when out of tolerance situations are found
  • Maintaining paperwork and records in databases
  • Understanding and complying with AS9100 standards and procedures as related to inspection and calibration
  • Understanding and complying with inspection best practices
  • Assisting with keeping the flow of parts through Inspection moving smoothly

Required Qualifications:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen, or Permanent Resident Alien, or a Canadian Citizen
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of machine shop and inspection capabilities
  • Familiarity with operation of inspection tools
  • Good organizational & planning ability
  • Ability to interface with all other disciplines within organization, as well as internal & external customers.
  • Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Able to pass a drug test
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime when needed
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast paced manufacturing/shop environment
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office - Excel, Word, email, etc.)
  • Read, analyze and interpret written procedures & engineering drawings in English
  • Work with technical, engineering & production personnel in an efficient & effective manner
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical/diagram form & deal with several abstract & concrete variables
  • Have a working understanding of GD&T standards

Ideal Candidates will also have:

  • CQI/CQE certifications
  • CMM experience
  • Zeiss Calypso experience
  • Aerospace experience
  • Machine shop experience
