Your Role as a Financial Controller As the Financial Controller, you must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You must also be a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel and maintain all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts. You will oversee the administrative duties and ensure that operations, sales and marketing, finance, and supply chain adhere to budgets, schedules, and standards. You will also gather and analyze financial data and cost reports, prepare financial statements, maintain databases, perform audits and risk assessments, and oversee the accounting team's procedures. To thrive, you should have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Microsoft Dynamics ERP GAAP knowledge CPA or CMA preferred Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success Your responsibilities as the Financial Controller will include: Financial Operations Management: Oversee various accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Produce financial statements, manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements. Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including capital budgeting, leasing, and CAPEX budgets. ERP Implementation: Develop and implement accounting and business procedures using Microsoft Dynamics ERP software and participate in ERP system implementation for strategic initiatives. Audit & Issue Resolution: Act as the point of contact for external auditors, support month-end and year-end close processes, and identify and suggest timely solutions for accounting and financial issues.
