Manager, Title and Registration Operations

Salary: $80-90K and annual bonus eligible  

Location: Very strong preference for Washington, DC but open to remote for a stellar candidate. Our DC office team comes together to collaborate in our Dupont Circle office Tuesday through Thursday and works from home Monday and Friday.

Your Mission:  

As a member of our growing Fleet Operations team, your mission is to oversee the efficient and accurate processing of titles and registrations for our company's electric vehicle fleet. You will leverage your expertise in title and registration services to implement and manage scalable processes that ensure we efficiently title and register all new vehicles in our fleet, that they’re in compliance with state regulations, and that we adhere to our different customer needs. To assist with developing and executing our processes, you will directly manage our Fleet Coordinator (based out of our DC office). You’ll report to our Director of Fleet Operations (based out of TX). 

The Legacy You’ll Leave: 

As a result of the exceptional processes you created and how well you executed all title and registration tasks with our dealerships, OEMs, customers, state DMVs, and our various internal departments, you made titling and registering all the vehicles in our fleet easier than anyone ever anticipated. Because you so nailed the details of your role, you made the most challenging part of managing our fleet run super smoothly. 

• Serve as the main point of contact and own the communication for all vehicle documentation between Inspiration and OEMs, our customers and Inspiration’s service providers 
• Collaborate closely with our finance and delivery team to coordinate the title and registration activities related to vehicle acquisitions and disposals 
• Maintain Inspiration's internal filing and data tracking systems – we currently use Excel, Sigma, and JIRA.  Don’t worry we’ll teach you how to use these systems if you aren’t familiar with them. 
• Track and reconcile title and registration fleet invoices 
• Regularly evaluate and refine processes to adapt to changing business needs and regulatory requirements 
• Generate regular reports on title and registration metrics, including processing times, compliance rates, and error rates 
• Support the future build out of our fleet title and registration team and ensure there’s a strong and engaging culture amongst all team members  

• You have directly overseen title and registration operations for a fleet, rental agency, automobile dealership group, or other large-scale title and registration services for at least 3 years 
• You are ready for your first people manager role or have prior experience managing one or more direct reports   
• You have exceptional organizational skills, are comfortable dealing with a multitude of details and deadlines, and seamlessly juggle multiple tasks which include understanding that we have different processes for different customers  
• You are a self-starter but are also able to take guidance from others when asked to work on a project and work seamlessly across different teams  
• You have excellent problem-solving skills that involve you always getting to the root cause of an issue, communication, and critical thinking skills  
• You have a positive, can-do attitude and relish learning from your work and identifying the teachable moments for the rest of your team 
• You have an understanding of, or the ability to quickly come up to speed on, concepts related to vehicle electrification and transportation and you are passionate about our mission to contribute to climate solutions  
• You are adept at using Microsoft Office – including Excel, which you’ll use daily in your role
