As Director of Strategy & Planning, you will be a critical leader within our senior team, focusing on shaping and delivering effective marketing strategies that span various channels, including in-store retail, social, CRM, digital, and brand marketing. You will collaborate closely with our Creative and Insights teams to develop and implement data-driven, innovative channel planning to meet the needs of our clients and drive business growth. This new role is key to providing strategic guidance and thought leadership across our diverse portfolio of marketing services, ensuring we consistently deliver high-impact solutions for our blue-chip clients.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and lead the strategic direction of the company’s marketing services solutions, ensuring alignment with ITG's broader business goals and the evolving needs of our clients across multiple sectors.
- Channel Expertise: Lead channel planning and strategy development across a range of marketing disciplines, including in-store retail, social media, CRM, digital platforms, and brand campaigns. Ensure each channel is optimized and integrated for maximum effectiveness.
- Collaboration with Creative & Insights Teams: Partner with Creative and Insights teams to turn data-driven insights into actionable strategies, focusing on consumer behavior, market trends, and performance analytics to inform decisions.
- Client Engagement & Partnerships: Engage directly with clients and agency partners to understand their challenges and objectives, providing strategic thought leadership to guide them towards innovative and effective marketing strategies.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and marketing innovations to continuously evolve ITG’s strategic offering and position the company as a market leader in tech-enabled marketing solutions.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, mentoring and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. This role will also include building out a strategic planning team, supporting their development and operational excellence.
- Commercial Acumen: Work closely with the UK CEO and the wider leadership team to ensure that strategies are commercially viable and contribute to overall company growth and profitability.
- Performance Measurement: Develop KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and ensure that all campaigns and programs deliver on ROI targets.
- Proven Experience: Extensive experience in a senior strategic or planning role within a marketing services, digital agency, or retail/brand environment, ideally working with blue-chip clients.
- Multichannel Expertise: Retail sector experience critical with strong expertise in channel planning and the ability to integrate strategies across in-store, digital, CRM, social, and brand marketing platforms.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaborative relationships across creative, insights, and client-facing teams.
- Client-Focused: Exceptional client management skills, with the ability to articulate and present strategic ideas clearly and persuasively to C-suite executives.
- Data-Driven: Experience working with data insights and performance analytics to shape strategy and inform marketing decisions.
- Creative Thinking: A strong creative mindset, with the ability to blend innovation and practicality to develop effective, forward-thinking strategies.
- Commercial Mindset: Strong financial and commercial awareness, with the ability to drive profitability and deliver high ROI through strategic initiatives.
