Intern, Backend Platform

Instawork is seeking an Engineering Intern to join their Platform team, responsible for building and maintaining shared code and infrastructure. The intern will receive mentorship to enhance their software engineering skills and contribute to production applications.

Skills

Proficiency in Python, AWS, Docker, and databases for web application development
Familiarity with Terraform (preferred)

Responsibilities

Update code and infrastructure to enhance performance, monitoring, and scalability
Collaborate with Platform team on production deployments
Participate in mentorship program with senior engineers
Complete and present a project at the end of the internship

Education

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Completed courses in Software Engineering and CS fundamentals
