Instructional Designer

We are now looking for an Instructional Designer to join our RELEX family in the Americas. You'll join a cross functional team representing end-user, operations leadership and learning & development experts who will help you succeed in your new role. Together the team will develop a framework and content to support talent development of our colleagues, customers and partners. You will help the team achieve this goal by creating impactful employee experiences and design learning to support user development.

Our Customer Operations team partner with customers and support their diverse needs. Throughout the sales experience, they develop and deliver projects, optimiZe how our solution is used and ultimately keep our customers happy and help them achieve their goals. Their relationship -building skills and retail/supply chain knowledge are second to none. A dynamic team, they embrace change and love being part of our exciting tech atmosphere. Join us as an Instructional Designer, and this is some of what you'll be doing:

  • Create engaging learning experiences that develop critical skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with the professional services and product teams to build comprehensive learning journeys for employees, customers, and partners.
  • Produce innovative training solutions with a view toward continuous improvement.
  • Develop conceptual design documents, storyboards, project plans, timelines, and issue/resolution logs.
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts and other key partners to create instructor-led, self-study, and/or online instructional content that effectively engages the learner.
  • Coordinate training content strategy with product and technical teams to ensure that documentation is complementary to training content.

We're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year university, instructional design certification and/or Master's level of related education preferred.
  • 6+ years of proven experience as an instructional designer.
  • Experience building and designing large scale programs, content, and materials from scratch.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify learner needs, analyze and logically organize complex information, and accurately transform complex bodies of information into professional, engaging, and effective learning content.
  • Capability to articulate what cognitive and instructional principles are behind your work and your approach to the content you create.
  • A self-starter mentality and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. You're able to work independently and make independent judgments.
  • Ability to quickly learn new content tools and internal applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Past experience working in the software industry or in the tech space
  • It'd be great to have someone in the metro-Atlanta area; if not, must be located and working in EST

Preferred skills:

  • Strong graphic design and e-learning capabilities; ability to edit graphics and video and build the layout and navigation in an instructionally sound format.
  • Knowledge and experience of Learning Management System (LMS) platform preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to use web-based applications for collaboration and facilitation, e.g., Microsoft Teams and WebEx, etc.
  • Proven experience using authoring and development tools; Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia strongly preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications; Acrobat and InDesign strongly preferred
  • Facilitation of virtual instructor-led, and instructor-led training
  • Learning consultant experience
