As the Director of Business Development - Partner Collaborations, you will be a key player in expanding Instructure's market presence by developing and nurturing strategic partnerships. You will lead the charge in creating innovative joint offerings that bring unique value to our customers. This role demands a blend of business acumen, relationship-building skills, and a passion for driving mutually beneficial collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Partner Identification: Identify, evaluate, and forge strategic partnerships with organizations that complement Instructure's mission and enhance our product offerings.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners. Collaborate closely to align business goals, foster mutual understanding, and ensure long-term success.
- Support end-to-end deal activities including outreach, tracking, deal structure design, term sheet assessment, research planning, and negotiations.
- Joint Offering Development: Lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute joint offerings that leverage the strengths of both Instructure and its partners. This involves product integrations, co-marketing efforts, and joint sales strategies.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential gaps. Use insights to shape joint offerings that address the evolving needs of our customers and the broader education industry.
- Revenue Generation: Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies for joint offerings. Drive revenue growth through successful partnership initiatives and collaborative sales efforts.
- Contract Negotiation: Work closely with legal and business teams to negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring that terms are fair, compliant, and aligned with Instructure's objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess the success of partnership initiatives. Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve performance.
- Communication: Effectively communicate the value of joint offerings to internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product teams. Ensure alignment and engagement across the organization.
Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development, partnership management, strategic consulting, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the education technology landscape and the dynamics of partnership ecosystems.
- Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to collaborate across teams and build consensus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Results-Oriented: Track record of driving successful business development initiatives and achieving revenue targets.
- Clear communicator in writing and speech and creative in terms of visual presentation of trends and data
