Intake Specialist

Overview:
Salary $40,000 year

Then the Intake Specialist position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our spirited team.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure accurate completion of required documentation for orientation attendance
  • Work with Program Manager and Team Lead as a collective team to ensure program success
  • Maintain organized database of in-process clients and keep detailed documentation of where they are in the intake process
  • Follow up with customers to ensure progress toward enrollment
  • Document all participant contact efforts and activities via case notes
  • Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies
  • Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with participants to aid in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and providing required documentation
  • Help ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met
  • Assist in completing enrollments, follow-ups, obtaining MSG’s, Credentials, extending projected end dates and completion of exits
  • All other duties as needed to support success of the WIOA program
Responsibilities:

  • Provide information to customers requesting information about the WIOA program
  • Assist in obtaining required documents, calculating income, and completing other required steps before enrollment
  • Review documentation collected and complete eligibility determination for program applicants
  • Ensure 100% eligibility verification of all program applicants prior to orientation/enrollment
  • Be backup for orientation of customers entering into the WIOA program
  • Communicate program eligibility criteria
  • Demonstrate and maintain programmatic knowledge and competency in the program by utilizing internal and external policy
  • When needed, provide computer assistance to customers
  • Work well under pressure, meet multiple and conflicting deadlines
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and customers at all times
  • Make follow-up contact quarterly with customers that have exited from the program
  • Greet potential WIOA customers coming into the American Job Center
Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Demonstrated telephone, computer and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of program or customer require
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Customer service experience required
  • A verifiable working knowledge of MS Office
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation required
